History
In just over 50 years, Emeria has become Europe’s leading provider of technology-enabled real estate services. How did we get here?
The beginning
The story of Emeria began in 1972, with the incorporation of Foncia in France. During the first 20 years, we focused our development on the French market and built an advanced digital solution for estate agents and managers of jointly owned properties, giving them a major competitive advantage from the start.International expansion
From the 1990s onwards, Emeria expanded its business by acquiring real estate service companies in Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland and the UK. We continued to enhance our technological capabilities to improve efficiency and strengthen our service offering.
Leadership
Since 2016, we have completed many more acquisitions, primarily in the areas of joint property, lease management and rentals. Our external growth strategy and the development of ancillary service offerings have been key drivers of our historical growth, allowing us to become a recognised global leader in our markets.
